Health & Well Being

Supporting Healthy Bodies and Resilient Minds

For children to learn well, they must be healthy, nourished, and emotionally secure. Many students in government schools face challenges related to nutrition, access to healthcare, and emotional stress - factors that directly affect attendance, concentration, and learning outcomes. Pragati addresses these needs through a dual focus on physical health and mental well-being, integrated into the school environment.

Physical Health: Nutrition & Medical Care

Nutrition Supplementation

To support children’s growth and energy levels, Pragati provides daily milk and biscuits and the Govt mid day meal supplemented with fruits and eggs.

Medical Health Camps

Pragati organises medical camps in partnership with local organisations and doctors, bringing essential healthcare services directly into schools.

These partnerships help ensure professional care, timely intervention, and reduced barriers to healthcare access for children and their families.

Mental Well-being: Emotional Support & Counselling

Children from underserved communities experience stress related to poverty, family instability, trauma, or learning anxiety. Without support, these challenges can affect behaviour, confidence, and academic progress.

Professional Psychological Support

Pragati provides access to trained, professional psychologists who support students through:

• One-on-one counselling

• Behavioural and learning-related guidance

Support is confidential and coordinated with educators to ensure children feel understood and supported.

Outcomes in the Classroom

Through integrated health and well-being interventions, educators observe:

• Improved attendance and attentiveness

• Better classroom behaviour and engagement

• Reduced anxiety and emotional distress
